World Environment Day Celebrated at St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur
The Eco Club of St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur marked World Environment Day with a campus cleaning drive themed "Beat Plastic Pollution" on June 5, 2025.
Rev. Fr. Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal of the college, highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, warning against the dangers of plastic pollution and emphasizing the need to protect nature.Drawing a parallel between home cleanliness and environmental cleanliness, he stressed that harming nature ultimately harms us.
The event, coordinated by Mrs. Kavitha and Mr. Harshith Kumar, Convenors of the Eco Club from the Department of Biology, saw active participation from around 70 Science stream students.
