Students of St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur shine at State Olympics Swimming Competition .
Anvith Rai Barike , Aman Raj, Diganth V.S and Pradhi Clare Pinto of St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur participated and won numerous medals in the State Olympics Swimming Competition organized
by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, the Karnataka Olympic Association, and the District Administrations of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. The competition was held at Yemmekere Swimming Pool , Mangalore on 22nd and 23rd January 2025.
Pradhi Clare Pinto ( I PCMB- C) won Gold medals in 200m Free style & 4×100m Free style relay. Silver medals in
50m back stroke,100m back stroke ,200m Back stroke ,4×100 m Medley relay & 4×200m Freestyle relay.
Diganth V.S ( I PCMC- E)
won Gold medal in 4x 100m Medley relay. Silver medals in 50m Back,100m Back stroke ,200 Back stroke, 4X100m Freestyle relay, 4x200m Freestyle relay & Bronze medals in 50m Breast stroke.
Anvith Rai ( I PCME- E) won Silver medals in 50 m fly ,50m Free style ,4×100m Free style relay, 4×200m Freestyle relay, 4×100 medley & Bronze medals in 100m fly & 100m Freestyle.
R. Aman Raj ( I PCME- E) won Silver medals in 4×100m Freestyle relay, 4×200m Freestyle relay
4×100m Medley & Bronze medal in 400m Freestyle.
Swimmers are trained by Mr Partha Varanashi, Mr Niroop G.R, Mr Deekshith Rao, Mr Rohith Prakash, , Mr Thrishul Gowda and are guided by Dr Elias Pinto and Mr Rajesh Moolya, Physical Education Directors, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.
The Correspondent, Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas and the Principal, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta congratulated the students for their outstanding achievement.
