Guest Lecture on Adolescent Mental Health Issues and Management at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.

Child Protection Act organized a guest lecture on Adolescent Mental Health Issues and Management on 30th June 2025 at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.

The President, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur in his presidential remarks said that the individuals should develop physically, mentally, and intellectually in a balanced way. When one aspect is prioritized over others, it can lead to imbalance and negatively impact overall well-being. While many people focus on physical development, neglecting mental and intellectual growth can limit their potential. By nurturing all three aspects, individuals can achieve a more fulfilling and purposeful life, unlocking their human potential and leading a happy, healthy life.

The Resource Person, Dr Rajesh M.,Consultant Psychiatrist , Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore said that social media is a tool that can be used according to our needs. If utilized correctly, it can bring positive advantages, but if misused, it can lead to negative consequences. Ultimately, social media has both benefits and drawbacks, depending on how we choose to use it.

The convenors of Child Protection Cell, Dr Asha Savithri P ., Dept of Hindi and Mr Rama Naik, Dept of Kannada, co ordinated the programme.
