Women Empowerment Cell organized a guest lecture on Health and Hygiene in Adolescence at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 10/07/2025
The Principal, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, St Philomena P.U.College , Puttur stressed the importance of maximizing the benefits of this program, urging participants to actively engage, learn, and gain valuable insights that will enhance their personal and academic development.
The Resource person ,Dr Swathi R. Bhat , MBBS ,MD General Medicine, Consultant Physician , Puttur, City Hospital and Usha Polyclinic emphasized the importance of a healthy diet for overall well-being. She highlighted how nutritious food fuels the body for proper functioning, supporting growth, development, and optimal health. She also discussed the specific challenges and problems faced by teenagers, raising awareness on crucial health aspects.
The convenors, Mrs Sathyalatha Rai M, Dept of English and Mrs Avina Madtha, Dept of Commerce co ordinated the programme.
