Celebration of Philo Utsav - Achievers' Day at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.
Achievers' Day was celebrated at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 21st December 2024. This day recognized the achievements made by the students in various curricular and co-curricular activities. The event showcased exceptional talent, dedication, and perseverance among students, highlighting the college's commitment to excellence.
The President, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta ,Principal, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur in his presidential remarks emphasized that every student is a winner due to their participation. He encouraged students to set goals and strive for excellence, outlining a three-stage process: planting, pruning, and flourishing. Drawing a parallel with a seed's growth, he acknowledged parents' and teachers' roles in shaping students' personalities. He concluded by emphasizing the importance of positivity in achieving a bright future.
The Chief Guest, Rev.Fr Stany Pinto, Parish Priest,Holy Spirit Church, Mukka emphasized the importance of resilience and determination. He urged students to dream big and stay humble, acknowledging the efforts of their parents and teachers.
The Guest of Honour, Mr Jerald D'Costa Vice President, PPC,Mai De Deus Church, Puttur stated that today marks a significant milestone for students who have excelled in various fields. He emphasized the importance of recognizing and nurturing individual talents, perseverance and faith.
The Guest of Honour, Dr Shriprakash B, Vice President, Parent Teacher Association urged students to appreciate the efforts of their parents and teachers, who have contributed to their growth and development. He inspired students to nurture their dreams and aspirations, allowing them to flourish and enrich their lives.
Students who made tremendous achievements in various fields were honoured by the dignitaries.
The teaching, administrative staff members ,parents and students of St Philomena P.U. College ,Puttur presented a vibrant cultural programme, highlighting their artistic skills.
The programme was organized by the co ordinators of the Students' Council, Mr Prashanth Bhat, Dept of Chemistry and Mrs Philomena Monteiro, Dept of Commerce.
Srudhan Alva K. ,Joint Secretary of Student Council welcomed the gathering. Ankitha L.D., President, Student Council introduced the Chief Guest. Dhruva J.Bhandary, Secretary, Student Council proposed Vote of thanks. Ms Vinola Amitha Lobo, Dept of Chemistry compered the programme.
