Taluk Level Athletic Sports Meet at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.

School Education Department ( Pre-University) ,D.K.,Mangalore in collaboration with St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur organized Taluk Level Athletic Sports Meet at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 18th October 2025.

The Correspondent, Very Rev.Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions inaugurated the sports meet by lighting the lamp and stated that sports, along with learning, help students grow physically strong. He mentioned that sports cultivate qualities such as discipline, obedience to rules, courage, patience and the ability to accept both victory and defeat equally. He also added that sports nurture the spirit of sharing and growing together with everyone and he extended his best wishes to all the athletes.

About 135 Athletes from 8 Pre University Colleges in Puttur Taluk participated in the sports meet.

Dr Jyothi, Taluk-level Sports Coordinator and Physical Education Director of Vivekananda College, Puttur, Dr Elias Pinto and Mr Rajesh Moolya, Taluk-level Sports Coordinators and Physical Education Directors, along with the Physical Education Directors from various colleges of Puttur Taluk, were present on the occasion.

The Principal, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta ,St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur welcomed the gathering. Dr Elias Pinto, Physical Education Director proposed vote of thanks .Mrs Usha A. ,Dept of Kannada compered the programme.
