The Girls’ Kabaddi team of St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur, secured the Runners-up trophy in the Taluk-Level Kabaddi Tournament held at Uppinangadi on September 17, 2025. With their lightning-fast moves and remarkable teamwork, the team left a lasting impression on the kabaddi court.

The tournament was jointly organized by the School Education Department (Pre-University), Dakshina Kannada, and Govt. P.U. College, Uppinangadi.

Asthika and Supriya S are qualified for the District-Level Kabaddi Tournament to be held at Nehru Memorial College, Sullia. In addition, Asthika was honoured with the “Best Raider” trophy for her outstanding performance.

The team received expert training from Mr Mohammad Habeeb and also by the Physical Education Directors , Dr Elias Pinto and Mr. Rajesh Moolya.
