National Hindi Day celebrated at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur .

Hindi Sangha of St Philomena P .U. College, Puttur uniquely celebrated Hindi Day on 15th September, 2025.

The event was presided over by Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur. He emphasized the fundamental importance of Hindi and highlighted its significance. He reminded the students that Hindi was officially recognized as a language on September 14, 1949, and further added that learning multiple languages including Hindi, enriches knowledge and broadens horizons.

The Chief Guest, Mr Sanad Kumar S.K, Owner of Manaka Jewels, Puttur, emphasized the significance of Hindi, stating that it is a vital national language that serves as a foundation for communication. He noted that Hindi enables people to connect with others while traveling and plays a crucial role in building bonds and fostering friendships. Despite its ease, Hindi has taken a backseat in the digital era with English gaining prominence. However, Mr Sanad highlighted that learning Hindi can boost confidence, expand horizons, and break down barriers, ultimately commanding respect.

The programme was coordinated by the Convenor, Dr B. Latha ,Dept of Hindi. Dr Asha Savithri P., Dept of Hindi was present on the occasion.

Prizes were distributed to the winners who showcased their creativity in the invitation and poster-making competitions.

Bhoomika ( II SEBA 'B') welcomed the gathering. Ahil Abbas ( II PCMB-B) proposed vote of thanks. Muhammed Shamhan Hantyar ( II SCBA) compered the programme.
