The installation ceremony to the new office bearers of the Interact Club at St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur, was held on July 30th, 2026 at the Audio Visual Room. Rtn Umeshchandra D.V., President of the Rotary Club Puttur City, stated that the Rotary Club is widely recognized for its dedicated service to society. He humbly urged everyone to cultivate a spirit of selfless service and contribute towards the welfare and betterment of the community.

The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta ,St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur remarked that every organization has its own goals, vision and objectives. He said that the Rotary Club is one such organization and the Interact Club functions as its youth wing. He highlighted that Rotary has a vast global network and is committed to the ideal of selfless service. While many people today are driven by profit, Rotary stands out for placing service above self-interest. He further emphasized that we should always extend a helping hand to those in need without expecting anything in return or thinking about personal gain.

Rtn Padmanabha Shetty, Youth Service Director of the Rotary Club ,Puttur City, encouraged the students to acquire knowledge from a variety of sources and continuously strive for personal growth. He emphasized that learning should not be confined to textbooks alone but should also come through experiences, interactions and observation. He motivated the students to remain curious, broaden their horizons and develop into responsible and well-informed individuals. He also urged them to cultivate a spirit of selfless service, reminding them that true success lies not only in personal achievements but also in making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Rtn Jeromias Pais, Chairman of the Interact Club, Rotary Club Puttur City, emphasized that service should be the guiding purpose of our lives. He said that God has blessed us with a beautiful life and it is our responsibility to share our time, talents, and resources with society. He encouraged everyone to bring joy into the lives of others through acts of kindness and selfless service, reminding the students that the true meaning of life lies in serving humanity.
