Career Guidance Programme Commerce 2026
Career Guidance Programme at St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur.
The Commerce Association of St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur organized a Career Guidance Programme on the theme "Navigating Futures: Career Pathways in Commerce" on 10 June 2026.
The President, Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal of St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur, stated that the Commerce stream offers a wide range of career opportunities. He emphasized that the knowledge gained through Commerce is valuable throughout life, as it is closely connected to day-to-day activities. He noted that each subject in Commerce contributes to enhance one's general knowledge and practical understanding of the world. He encouraged students to cultivate curiosity and a genuine interest in learning so that they can make the best use of the opportunities available to them.
The Chief Guest, Mr Swastik P., Chartered Accountant, Bengaluru, stated that Commerce is a gateway to unlimited opportunities. He emphasized that a career is not a matter of chance but a matter of choice. He described Commerce as the language of business and explained that it extends beyond business studies to include areas such as finance, taxation, accounting, and banking. He provided valuable insights into professional courses like Chartered Accountancy (CA), emerging career opportunities, and various government job prospects available to Commerce students.
The programme was co ordinated by Mr Rahul ,Convenor of Career Guidance Cell.
Gunika Nayak ( II SEBA- B) welcomed the gathering. Sneha ( II SEBA- B ) proposed vote of thanks. Swinika Viola Crasta ( II SEBA- A) compered the programme.
