Students of St Philomena P.U. College,Puttur races ahead with 1 Silver & 4 Bronze in D.K. Junior Athletic Meet .

Students of St Philomena P.U College,Puttur, brought great pride to the institution by winning a total of five medals in the D.K.Junior Athletic Meet held at Mangala Stadium, Mangalore from August 18th to 19th, 2025.

With one Silver and four Bronze medals, the athletes showcased their exceptional skill and determination, earning accolades for the college. Their remarkable performance is a testament to their hard work and dedication.

The Athletics were trained by Dr Elias Pinto and Mr Rajesh Moolya, the Physical Education Directors ,St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.

The Correspondent, Very Rev.Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions, the Principal, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, staff and Parent Teacher Association congratulated the following students for their outstanding achievements.

* Shreevarna P.D. of I PCMB- A secured Silver medal in 100mtrs Hurdles under 18 girls' category and is selected to participate in the State Level Amateur Athletic Meet in Udupi.

* Disha N V. of II HEPS secured Bronze medal in High Jump event under 18 girls' category.

* Muhammad Mufeez of 1 SEBA -A secured Bronze medal in Discuss Throw event under 18 boys category .

* Suhas Ram M. of I PCMB - B secured Bronze medal in High Jump event under 18 Boys Category.

* Manudeep K of I PCMB- C secured Bronze medal in Javelin Throw event under 18 Boys category
