Philo Aarambh 2026
Inauguration of the New Academic Year " Philo Aarambh" was held at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 25th May 2026.
The programme began with an invocation through a graceful prayer song and welcome dance followed by lighting the lamp.
The President, Rev. Dr John Baptist Saldanha, Correspondent, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions emphasized that education is not confined merely to bookish knowledge, but extends far beyond the pages of textbooks, shaping one’s character, vision, and values. He encouraged the students to make the best use of all the facilities and opportunities provided by the institution for their overall growth and development. Inspiring the gathering further, he urged the students to dream big and strive to become responsible leaders who would contribute meaningfully not only to society but also to the nation.
Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal,St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur encouraged the students to work hard with dedication and determination, assuring them that sincere efforts would surely make their dreams come true. He emphasized that the true path to success lies in having a strong desire to achieve one’s goals, combined with consistent hard work and perseverance. Boosting the spirits of the students, he inspired them with the motivating words, “Strong desire and hard work lead to success.” He further urged the students to remain focused and committed in their journey towards a bright and successful future.
Mrs Divya Anil Rai, Vice President, Parent Teacher Association, Mr Yashawanth M.D, Dean of Science stream, Mr Bharath Kumar , Dean of Arts stream and Mr Govinda Prakash C.H, Dean of Commerce stream were present on the occasion.
On this special occasion SSLC toppers, Agnes Maria Joseph and Adithi Bhat P. were felicitated.
The programme was organized by the convenors of the Student Council Mr Govinda Prakash C.H., Dept of Computer Science Mrs Philomena Montheiro, Dept of Commerce and Mrs Kavitha , Dept of Biology.
Mr Harshith , Dept of Biology welcomed the gathering. Mrs Lavisha D’Cunha introduced the Correspondent, Mrs Avina Madtha, Dept of Commerce proposed Vote of thanks. Mrs Suma D ,Dept of English compered the programme.
