Felicitation to the Achievers at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur

Felicitation programme to the Rank students and Distinction holders was held at St Philomena P.U.College ,Puttur on 01/06/2026.

The President, Rev Fr. Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur congratulated all the achievers on their outstanding success. He emphasized that while academic excellence and good marks are important, equal importance must be given to co-curricular and extracurricular activities. He stated that achievements may be forgotten over time, but a person's character and values leave a lasting impression on society. Stressing that character formation and values should always be given top priority, he encouraged students to continue working hard and never become complacent, as success comes through constant effort and perseverance. He urged the II PUC students to draw inspiration from the achievers and remain focused on their studies. Encouraging them to stay positive and dedicated, he expressed confidence that success would surely follow their hard work.

The Chief Guest, Mr Abdul Samad N.,Lecturer, Dept of English, Govt P. U. College, Gandhinagar ,Sullia congratulated the students on their outstanding performance and encouraged them to pursue their goals with determination and confidence. He stressed the importance of motivation, perseverance and strong willpower in overcoming challenges and achieving success. Emphasizing that true greatness is rooted in humility and gratitude, he urged the students to remain thankful to their parents, teachers, and institution for their unwavering support and guidance. He concluded by reminding them that every individual has the potential to make a meaningful difference in life through dedication and hard work.

The Guest of Honour, Mrs Divya Anil Rai, Vice President, PTA

congratulated the rank holders and distinction holders on their remarkable achievement. She stated that their success was the outcome of consistent hard work, dedication and perseverance. She acknowledged the invaluable support and guidance provided by parents and teachers, who played a significant role in shaping the students' achievements. She described this accomplishment as an important milestone in their lives and the beginning of a new phase in their academic journey. Encouraging the students to continue striving for excellence, she wished them success and fulfillment in all their future endeavors.

On this occasion, the rank achievers and distinction holders were felicitated for their outstanding academic achievements. In the Science stream, Apoorva secured 5th Rank in the State. In the Commerce stream, Sapeeda secured 6th Rank, Sonica Cutinha secured 9th Rank, and Deepthi K.C. secured 10th Rank in the State along with 216 Distinction holders.

Mr Yashawanth M.D, Dean of Science stream, Mr Bharath Kumar A, Dean of Arts stream and Mr Govinda Prakash C.H, Dean of Commerce stream were present on the occasion.

The programme was coordinated by the Student Council Directors,Mr Govinda Prakash C.H, Mrs Philomena Monteiro and Mrs Kavitha.

Mrs Suma P.R., Dept of English welcomed the gathering. Mrs Poornima D.S, Dept of Statistics proposed vote of thanks . Mrs Veeksha, Dept of Computer Science compered the programme.
