St Philomena P.U. College Students Excel at District-Level Pre-University Karate Tournament.

The Department of School Education (Pre-University), D.K., Mangaluru, in collaboration with Thumbay Pre-University College, organised the District-Level Pre-University Sports Meet 2026–27 – Karate Tournament at Thumbay Pre-University College on 19 September,2026.

Bhuvan Karandleje of I PCMB - B ,son of Mr Laxmana Karandleje and Mrs Supreetha Laxmana Karandleje, participated in the +82 kg category and secured the Silver Medal. He was trained under the guidance of his coach, Mr Narayana Acharya.

Angel J of II PCMC - D, daughter of Mr Joseph Y and Mrs Vijayalakshmi, participated in the -52 kg category and won the Bronze Medal. She was trained under the guidance of her coach, Mr Chandrashekar Kanakamanjalu.

The students were encouraged by the Physical Education Director, Mr Rajesh Moolya.
