Taluk Level Kabaddi Tournament at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.

St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur in collaboration with Pre University Educational board organized Taluk Level Kabaddi Tournament on 27/10/2023.

The President, Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Correspondent, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions in his presidential remarks said that kabaddi is considered as a popular sport in the international level. He motivated students to exhibit their team spirit and advised the teams to have faith in God.

Mr Elias Pinto and Mr Rajesh Mooliya, Physical Education Directors, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur co ordinated the tournament.

14 teams participated in the event.

Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur welcomed the gathering. Mrs Suma D,Dept of English compered and proposed vote of thanks.

Closing Ceremony of Taluk level Kabaddi tournament was held at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 27/10/2023.

The Chief Guest, Dr Harsha Kumar Rai, Alumni and the Managing Director, Bright Way India limited expressed his happiness and appreciated the players.

Mr Dharnappa Gowda,Lecturer, Govt Pre University College, Kombettu and Mr Punith, Taluk P.U. Sports Co ordinator were present on the occasion.

In Boys category, Govt Pre University College , Uppinangadi bagged the Championship trophy and Govt Pre University College, Kombettu received the Runners-up trophy.
Sujith of Govt P.U. College, Kombettu received the All Rounder trophy.Shruthin of Govt.P.U.College, Uppinangadi received the Best Catcher trophy. Junaid of Govt P.U. College,Uppinangadi received the Best Raider trophy.

In Girls’ category, Vivekananda P.U. College, Nehru Nagara bagged the Championship trophy and St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur received the Runners-up trophy.

Thrisha of Vivekananda P.U. College,Nehru Nagara received the All Rounder trophy. Annapurna of Vivekananda P.U. College, Nehru Nagara bagged the Best Catcher trophy and Anvitha of St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur received the Best Raider trophy .
