23.11.2014 is a memorable day to the Rovers and Rangers of St. Philomena P.U College. On this day 15 Rovers and 35 Rangers went for a camp to DK. G. Pac.Hr.Primary School Kaikara Puttur Taluk under guidance of its director Mr.Sandesh John Lobo and Miss. Sowmyalatha. Lecturers Mr.Suresh Kumar, Mr.Rama Naik, Mr.Ramprathik and Mr.Vijay D’souza assisted the team. The team reached the school at 9 am.

The main agenda of the camp was to participate in the Bharath Swachatha Abiyan. A formal function was held in the school campus. The headmistress Mrs. Pushpa Kumari was the president and the S.D.M.C president Mrs.Sarojini inaugurated the programme.

After the inaugural session the Rovers and Rangers cleaned the surrounding of the school campus and garden. Through which they created awareness of Swach Bharath Abiyan to the students. The members of the various associations of the locality extended a lot of co-operation by participating and providing refreshment and mid day meals. All the members of the team participated actively and enjoyed a lot. At 4 pm we had a closing function. The headmistress was the president and Mr.Shridhar the S.D.M.C member was the chief guest Kumari. Yashaswini welcomed, Kumari.Anusha gave vote of thanks, and Kumari. Anusha .A.M was M.C and conducted the progrme.

Later we visited Bendr Thirtha, 7 k.m away from Kaikar. We all enjoyed a lot, at 6 o clock in the evening we left Bendr Thirtha and reached the college at 6.30 pm.

Finally it is our bound duty to thank our beloved principal who has always a great support in all our activities.
