Academic Workshop and Release of Principal’s Diary

On the occasion of Diamond Jubilee celebrations of St Philomena PU College Puttur, Dakshina Kannada District PUC Principal’s Association and St Philomena PU College jointly organized an Academic Workshop and released Principal’s Diary-2018 on December 12, 2017 in college auditorium.

The MLA of Puttur constituency and Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka Mrs. Shakunthala T Shetty released the Principal’s Diary and said, ‘Teachers play a crucial role in formulating the future citizens of this Nation.’

The Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the guest of honour. The Correspondent of Mai De Deus Educational Institutions Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto expressed his blessings.

The Deputy Director of PUE of DK district Mr. K R Thimmaiah inaugurated the Academic Workshop and delivered the presidential address.

The Founder and the Chairman of International Academy for Creative Teaching Dr Gururaj Karajagi, Bangalore participated as the resource person on the topic ‘Creative Leadership’.

 Mr. Duggappa N, Vice President of DKPUCPA and the Principal of Government PU College Kumbra, Dr Sangeetha M, Vice President of DKPUCPA and the Principal of Hazrath Seyyid Madani Women’s PU College Ullala, Mangalore, Dr Vasantha Kumar, Vice President of DKPUCPA and the Principal of Shree Narayana Guru PU College Kudroli, Mangalore and Mr. K N Gangadhara Alva, Treasurer of DKPUCPA and the Principal of Thumbay PU College, Thumbay, Bantwal were present on this occasion.

Mrs. Sumana K, Lecturer, Department of Kannada performed the prayer. Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo, Principal of St Philomena PU College welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Elveera Philomena, President of DKPUCPA and the Principal of Government PU College, Car Street, Mangalore delivered introductory speech. Dr Kishor Kumar Sheni, Secretary of DKPUCPA and the Principal of Sri Ramakrishna PU College Mangalore proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Prashanth Bhat P, Lecturer, Department of Chemistry compered the programme.
