PTA General Body meeting

PTA General Body meeting at St Philomena P.U.College ,Puttur.

The annual general body meeting of Parent Teacher Association was held at St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur on 15/07/2023 at College auditorium.

The meeting was inaugurated by the dignitaries by the lighting the lamp.

The President, Very Rev.Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Correspondent, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions in his presidential remarks said that everyone should have faith in God and parents should guide their children in the right path. He added that both parents and teachers play a major role in upbringing their children. He assured parents that the college will do it’s best in shaping the future of the students.

The Resource Person, Prof. Ganaraj kumble,Principal, Ramakunjeshwara P.U. College, Ramakunja said,” Parents play the most important role in the overall development of their child. It is the right guidance of the parents that develops the character of the child. The role of parents in upbringing their children is always responsive, responsible and never-ending”.He advised parents to give time to their children.

Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College Puttur said that parents play a dominant role in the life of their children and the only investment that parents do to their children is to educate them.He explained about the rules and regulations that should be followed by the students and briefed about the new exam pattern.

The Guest of Honour, Mr Jerald D’costa ,Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council ,Mai De Deus Church, Puttur said, “Parents are the strength for their children.
They are the support system of the family. They give the strength to face each difficulty, the power to take decisions, and most importantly, the strength to live life in a smooth manner. They provide stability through their works or their words.

Mr Mamachchan, Former President of PTA was felicitated and he expressed his happiness. He said, “Parents have to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment that allows the children to grow healthy”.

The newly appointed PTA President, Mr Jayanth Nadubail, Correspondent of Akshaya College said, “Parents are responsible for instilling values in their children.They should shape their child’s character by teaching them kindness, honestly, respect and empathy”.

The Secretary, Mr Yashawanth M.D ( Dept of Biology)presented the annual report and elected the new office bearers for the academic year 2023 -24.The Treasurer, Mr Sanjay S. ( Dept of Commerce)presented the statement of income and expenditure.

Mr Yashawanth M.D.,(Dept of Chemistry)Secretary of PTA welcomed the gathering. Mrs Yashaswini M , Dept of Computer Science proposed Vote of thanks. Mrs Usha Yashawanth , Dept of Kannada compered the programme.
