St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur organized “Philo Sambrama – Kesard Onji Dina” -( fun day in the sludgy paddy fields.)

Philo Rovers and Rangers Unit in collaboration with Philo Red Cross Unit of St Philomena P.U.College,Puttur organized “Kesard Onji Dina” at Kodankeri, Narimogru on 20th August 2023.

The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

The President, Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur explained that the purpose of the event was to educate children about agricultural activities. He emphasized that by teaching the importance of agriculture to children, we can ensure that the traditions followed by our elders will continue in the future. He expressed gratitude to all those who supported and helped in organizing the event. 

The Chief Guest, Mr Shridhar Poojari, Kodankeri said that such events aptly convey the significance of conserving the nature with utmost care for the future generations.

As a part of this programme, competitive sporting events were held in the slushy paddy field .About 200 students participated enthusiastically in the activities.

Mr Veerappa Poojari , Retired NRCC Staff, Mr Pareekshith Tolpady,Mr Ganesh ,Mr Avinash were thanked at the event for their wholehearted service .

The co ordinators of Philo Red Cross Unit, Mrs Jyothi M, Dept of Sociology , Mr Rajesh Mooliya, Physical Director and the Co ordinators of Philo Rovers and Rangers Unit, Mr Sharath Alva, Dept of History, Mrs Poornima D.S, Dept of Statistics, Mr Rajesh Mooliya, Physical Director, Mr Chandraksha, Dept of Computer Science co ordinated the programme.
