Farewell programme – “Philo Cherrio” at St Philomena P. U. College was held on 16/02/2023 at Silver Jubliee Memorial Hall.
The President, Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, Principal, St Philomena P. U. College, Puttur said ,”Change is constant. Life is incomplete without a mixed bundle of joy and sorrows. Many times we find ourselves in situations where we feel so much yet fail to express it in words. In times like these, words can prove to be everlasting and can be someone’s solace in times of need”.He added that students should have a dream and focus towards the fulfillment of their dreams through hardwork and determination.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr Stany Pinto, Campus Director, St Philomena Institutions said that the students will have to face more hard challenges than before in their lives. He motivated the students not to get fed up and continue to go ahead with strong confidence and belief in them .Their belief, courage, patience, and hard work will surely lead them ahead and will help them to enjoy a bright future.
Mr Govinda Prakash, Dean of Commerce said that it’s a time to cherish as the students have spent their golden years in the institutions. He motivated students to develop a strong bond between parents and friends because the bond is missing today. He encouraged stude
nts to focus on their dreams and fulfil it with hardwork.
The programme was co ordinated by Mrs Philomena Montheiro, Dept of Commerce.
Mr Yashawanth, Dean of Science stream and Mr Bharath Kumar , Dean of Arts stream were present on the occasion.
Students who raised the flag of honour in various fields were facilited on the occasion.
Mrs Ashwini K, Dept of Chemistry, Mrs Rashmi , Dept of Physics, Mrs Usha , Dept of Kannada , Mrs Geetha Kumari ,Dept of Economics, Mrs Bharath Pai , Dept of Statistics, Mr Sharath Alva , Dept of History and Ms Vanya, Dept of Chemistry sang a song and entertainmented the students .
Mrs Suma P R ,Dept of English welcome the gathering. Mrs Rekha, Dept of Electronics proposed vote of thanks. Mrs Sathyalatha M.Rai compered the programme.
