Pastoral visit of Bishop ,Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha to St Philomena P.U.College Puttur.

It was a memorable and an indelible event to receive the Bishop of Mangalore Diocese,Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha for the pastoral visit on 24th June 2023. He was accompanied by his secretary Fr Thrishan D’Souza

The Bishop, Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha blessed the students and said ,” School is a temple of learning and knowledge becomes wisdom only with love “. He added, “What unites is much more valued than what divides us”. He motivated students to inculcate the qualities like forgiveness, kindness and compassion. He advised students to respect their elders and shape their future with the grace of God , Parents and Teachers.

The Correspondent of Mai De Deus Educational Institutions Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Rev. Fr Stany Pinto ,the Campus Director, Philomena Institutions, Rev Fr.Rupesh Raveen Tauro, Warden ,Boys Hostel , Mr Jerald D’costa, Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council, Puttur and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The Principal, Rev. Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, welcomed the gathering. Mr Bharath Kumar , Dept of Political Science proposed Vote of thanks. Dr Asha Savithri ,Dept of Hindi compered the programme.
