Inaugural programme of the academic year 2018-19 was held in St Philomena PU College on 22/05/2018

The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp

Rev. Fr. Vijay Lobo, Principal of the college welcomed the students and gave a brief introduction of the college. He said that the students should follow 3 D formula that is Discipline, Dedication and Devotion to develop their personality.

Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, Campus Director and Chairperson of PG Studies Centre said that the students should be emotionally, intellectually and spiritually strong to fight the battle that they face in their life.

Very Rev. Fr. Alfred J. Pinto, Correspondent of the college in his presidential remark said that the students should know the difference between good and bad and they should have faith in God.

Students who have scored high marks in SSLC examinations were felicitated on the occasion.

Mr. Harshad Ismail, Dept of Computer Science was honoured for receiving the International award, “Messenger of Peace”. He is the youngest RSL in India to receive this award.

Mohammad Ashiq- II SCBA, Nihal Naik- II SCBA, Shabhareesh- II PCMB, Sathwik- II SCBA, Mishal Siyona Menezes- II SEBA, Sinchana D Gowda- II SEBA and Saakshi Shivaram –II PCMB were felicitated for participating in Rovers and Rangers service camp held in Shravanabelagola.

Thrishul of II SEBA A was honoured for being an individual champion in the SPEEDO PAC SHARKS SWIM MEET- 2018. He had won 5 gold medals and 1 bronze medal.

Mrs Geetha Kumari , Dept of Economics welcomed the gathering. Mr. Yashwanth M.D. Dean of Science Dept proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Asha Savithri, Dept of  Hindi  compeered the programme.
