Teachers’ Day Celebration was organized by the office bearers of the student council at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall,St Philomena PU College on 05-09-2017.

Principal Rev. Fr. Vijay Lobo rendered his respect to Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and said that the teachers should imitate Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and should be dedicated to their profession. Teacher as the role model, play a very dominant role in shaping students future, attitude as well as their spirit. He also said that a good teacher is one who has quest for knowledge and this quest for knowledge will shape his/her personality.

Mr. Yashwanth, Dean of Science faculty, expressed that the students should give up their ego and work hard to reach their destination.

Mr. Rahul,  Department of commerce advised students that they should learn simplicity and be humble.

Vikranth Shenoy of II-PCMC said about the importance of Teachers’ Day. He said that the teachers are the backstone of the society and they are the one who motivates the students by giving examples of great personalities.

The office bearers of the student council conducted games for the lecturers and distributed prizes to the winners.

The programme was welcomed by Shreeja Shetty, II-PCMB-E, Wilson,  II SCBA proposed vote of thanks and Avani, II PCMB-E compered the programme.
