Under the auspices of Divya Chethana Association of St Philomena Pre-University College Puttur Annual Retreat was organized on August 25, 2016 in Divya Chethana Chapel. The Director of Mangalajyothi, Mangalore Rev. Fr Vijay Machado was the preacher. He spoke on love of God, love neighbour, and God’s mercy. In his power point presentation, he highlighted different acts of mercy.

The retreat had praise and worship, adoration, confessions and Eucharistic celebrations. The singing was done by Br. Ronson. In the inaugural session, Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro spoke about the importance of having retreat. The Principal of the College Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo welcomed the preacher and introduced the dynamics of the retreat. The group animators facilitated the retreat programme. Altogether 140 students have participated in the retreat.
