Students of St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur splashed the waves of success by clinching 7 Gold, 10 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals in the District Level Swimming Competition.

Students of St Philomena P.U. College, Puttur showcased a stellar performance at the District Level Swimming Competition, clinching 7 Gold, 10 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals. The event was organized by the School Education Department (Pre-University), Dakshina Kannada, was held at St Aloysius Pre-University College, Mangaluru, on September 10, 2025.

With their remarkable achievements, boys’ and girls’ teams secured the Runners-Up trophy, reflecting not only their talent and determination but also the institution’s strong emphasis on nurturing sporting excellence.

The swimmers were trained by the coach , Mr Partha Varanashi and were guided by the Physical Education Directors, Dr Elias Pinto and Mr Rajesh Moolya.

Pradhi Clare Pinto ( II PCMB-C) won 3 Gold medals in 200 m Back stroke, 100 m Back stroke and 50m Back stroke.

Diganth V.S. ( II PCMC- E) won 2 Gold medals in 200 m Back Stroke, 100m Back stroke and 2 Silver medals in 50m Back stroke and 4×100m Medley relay

Anvith Rai (II PCMC - E) won 2 Gold medals in 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and 2 Silver medals in 100m Butterfly, 4x100m Medley relay.

R.Aman Raj ( II PCMC- E) won 3 Silver medals in 400m Freestyle, 200m Freestyle, 4x100 Medley relay and 1 Bronze medal in 50m Back stroke.

Thanushree S. Gowda ( II SEBA- A) won 2 Silver medals in 200m Freestyle, 50 m Back Stroke and 1 Bronze medal in 100 m Freestyle.

Adhin Rai B. ( II PCMC - E) won Silver medal in 4x100m Medley relay.

Anvith Rai, R Aman Raj ,Diganth V.S.,Thanushree S Gowda and Pradhi Clare Pinto are qualified for the State Level Swimming Competition to be held at Bangalore.
