Diganth V.S and Pradhi Clare Pinto of St Philomena P.U. College,Puttur secured 4 Gold medals and 1 Silver medal in the District Level Dasara Swim Meet .

Diganth V.S( II PCMC- E ) and Pradhi Clare Pinto ( II PCMB- C) of St Philomena P.U. College,Puttur have made a splash at the District Level Dasara Swim Meet by securing 4 Gold medals and 1 Silver medal. The Meet was organized jointly by Dakshina kannada District Administration, District Panchayat, Youth Empowerment and Department of Sports, Dakshina Kannada District, Mangalore Muncipal Corporation, MY Bharat Dakshina Kannada, District Youth Association and other Institutions.The Meet was held from 06/09/2025 to 7/09/2025 at Mangala Stadium, Mangalore.

Under the guidance of the coach ,Mr Partha Varanashi and the mentorship of Dr Elias Pinto and Mr Rajesh Moolya the swimmers excelled in their events.

The Correspondent, Very Rev.Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions, the Principal, Rev.Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, PTA members and the Staff congratulated the students for their outstanding achievement.

Diganth V.S. secured Gold medals in 100 m back stroke, 200m Back stroke, 200m Individual Medley, 100m Free style.

Pradhi Clare Pinto won Silver medal in 200 m Back Stroke and both are qualified to the Divisional Level Swim Meet to be held at Hassan .
