The President,  Rev Fr Vijay Lobo, Principal, St Philomena P.U.College expressed his gratitude to the physical directors for organizing the kabaddi tournament and the volunteers for their dedication. He added that sports help students to handle failures in life.

Mr Sudhir Kumar, Principal,  Govt P.U College, Uppinagady said that the teamwork is the key to success.  He advised students that participation is very important and not to bother about the result. 

 The Chief Guests, Mr Surendra Rai, President,  Puttur Taluk Kabaddi Association and Mr Prasanna Rai, Sizzler soft drinks, Samethadka,  Mr Elias Pinto, Physical Director, St Philomena  College and Mr Rajesh Mooliya, Physical Director, St Philomena P.U.College were present on the occasion. 

The winners were honoured on this occasion.

In the Boys team, Winner’s trophy was bagged by Govt P.U. College, Uppinagady and Runners trophy was bagged by St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur. Rakshith, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur bagged the Best Rider trophy,  Mohammad Nishan, Govt P.U College, Uppinagady bagged the Best Catcher trophy,  All Rounder Trophy was bagged by Mithun, Govt P.U.College, Uppinagady.

In the Girls team, Winner’s trophy was bagged by St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur and Runners trophy was bagged by Vivekananda P.U.College, Puttur.  Angel, St Philomena P.U.College secured the Best Rider trophy, Krithika, Vivekananda P.U.College, Puttur bagged the Best Catcher trophy,  All Rounder Trophy was bagged by Jaya Nivedha, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur.

Mr Elias Pinto,  Physical  Director, St Philomena College, Puttur welcomed the gathering.  Mr Bharath Kumar, Dept of Political Science proposed vote of thanks.  Mrs Usha Yashawanth, Dept of Kannada compered the programme.
