Puttur Taluk Chess Association and Vokkaliga  Gowda Seva Sangha, Puttur organized Karnataka State U- 17 Open Fide Rated Chess Championship held at Vokkaliga Gowda Samudaya Bhavana, Puttur on  24th to 26th June 2022.

 

Manvith K  ( I PCMB ) of St Philomena P.U. College , Puttur added one more  feather of success to the institution by securing the second place in  the Chess Championship . He scored   7  points from 9 rounds  and is selected for the National Level Chess Tournament to be held at Odisa. He is the proud son of  Damodar Kanajalu and Rashmi P.S .He is trained by Mr  Sathyaprasad Kote, Mr Aravinda Shashtri and Mr Stany G.A.
